Joe Wilson Town Hall April 10

By April 20, 2017Uncategorized

Were you at Joe Wilson's town hall? Indivisible Midlands was…

On Monday, April 10, Joe Wilson (R-SC2) finally came home during the Congressional Recess to face his constituents at Aiken Technical College and members of Indivisible Midlands were there to meet with him.

We'd like to think our video "Joe Wilson Enjoys Parades! Breaks promise to hold town hall.” helped convince the congressman to face his constituents.

Afterwards, our own Julie Edwards was interviewed by the New York Times, saying:
The congressman did not deserve “a participation trophy” for holding the event.

“I think it’s a shame that other senators and congressmen are not showing up,” she said. “But I’m not going to give him a gold star for showing up and doing his job.”

You can see Julie addressing her question on the Violence Against Women Act to Congressman Wilson here and here.

Our sock puppets were in the audience, too (Look for them in the video here).

Hopefully, Joe got the message… we need a leader representing South Carolina in the House of Representatives, not a puppet of the President.
